Ad-Hoc
Within crisis committees, there is a special type of committee known as an Ad-Hoc. In these committees, delegates are usually not informed of their topic until right before their first committee session. This format challenges delegates to think on their feet and demonstrate strong creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. Ad-Hoc committees are designed for the most advanced Model UN delegates. Leading up to the conference, delegates will be given a small hint to guide their preparation, but the true topic will remain a surprise until the committee begins.
